My name is pronounced e(as in echo)-de-lin, sh-ie. My last name is particularly useful if you are learning Mandarin Chinese – it means “thanks”.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Peking University, one of the top institutions in China. After graduating, I joined KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms. I could have followed the conventional path, settling into the life of a white-collar professional in Beijing. But life had other plans for me.
I took a leap of faith, my own version of boarding the Mayflower, and moved to the United States to pursue a graduate degree in Finance. To support myself, I often juggled up to three jobs at a time. Over the years, I worked my way through the banking world, eventually earning the title of Vice President in the Credit Risk department.
My decade-long tenure in the banking industry gave me a deep understanding of mortgages, which naturally led to my passion for real estate.
I first got into real estate as a side hustle to manage my own investments. Along the way, I discovered how much I could help others with the knowledge I’d gained.
The real estate industry has seen tremendous technological advancements and legislative changes. Powerful data aggregators and analytical tools have fundamentally transformed how people research and search for homes. As realtors, it’s only natural that we adapt to meet the evolving needs of clients in this new era.
However, I’ve seen many outdated practices persist in the industry—pushy sales pitches, unreasonable or non-transparent fee structures, and a focus on closing deals at all costs. While I understand the pressure to secure clients and push for closings, I often asked myself: do these practices truly serve the clients’ best interests? I never felt comfortable being on the receiving end of such tactics, and I refused to adopt them myself.
That’s why I decided to open my own brokerage—to offer a better, more transparent way of doing business. We provide customizable solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, including flat-fee models and buyer rebates. The same philosophy extends to our agents as well, offering low-cost, flat-fee structures with full support to help them succeed.
With my background in mortgage loans, I bring a holistic perspective to the table for my buyer clients, offering guidance that integrates both real estate expertise and financing knowledge.
My greatest satisfaction comes from delivering genuine value and meaningful support in what is often one of the biggest financial decisions of someone’s life.
